General Bellringing Websites

Ringing websites for everyone everywhere.

  • Central Council of Church Bell Ringers
    Hits: 752

The governing body for bellringers world-wide.

  • The Ringing World
    Hits: 745

The bellringers' magazine and journal. Thursdays just wouldn't be the same.......

  • Dove's Guide for Church Bell Ringers
    Hits: 1509

Online version of Dove's Guide, the definitive source for information about rings of bells since the first printed edition appeared in 1950. The site provides full-featured searching, links to mapping facilities to show the exact location of towers, satellite navigation data, and details of changes to entries as they occur.

Organising an outing?  Remember......"Dove is your friend!"

Also available as an iPhone app from the App Store.

  • Change Ringing Resources
    Hits: 1083

The late Roger Bailey's site, now maintained by Peter Blight. All sorts here - an extensive list of Association and Society links, huge ringers' email list, program downloads, links to Central Council method libraries, etc. Recommended for that elusive esoteric item, too!

  • Bells on Sunday
    Hits: 670

Broadcast details and archive for the only weekly bell-focussed programme on national radio. Timing means the programme is mainly heard by shift-workers and insomniacs. Best option for most is to catch up via the web.

  • Association of Ringing Teachers
    Hits: 909

Information about learning to ring, teaching others to ring and teaching others to teach others to ring!

  • National 12-Bell Striking Contest
    Hits: 1519

Details, results and all sorts of statistics from the contest since its inception.
